In Johannesburg and Pretoria you can buy whey in South Africa's national chains (Dis-Chem, Clicks), online retailers (Takealot, Faithful to Nature, Wellness Warehouse) and brand shops (USN, NPL, Biogen, PVM) that deliver nationally. We have not verified store-level stock or delivery times by suburb, so check before you drive. Local tubs cost about R329–R700 (October 2026).
You do not need a specialist shop; most options are national, and the same tubs are priced the same online. We checked chains and online retailers in October 2026 but did not check stock by Gauteng store or suburb, so call ahead before you drive.

It depends on the product (Dis-Chem vs Takealot). Clicks and Takealot often undercut brand shops on local labels; Dis-Chem matches the brand. ATP Fitness's unflavoured isolate was R699 on Takealot (undated PriceCheck snapshot) against R900 on its shop.
We could not verify delivery times from brand shops, and Takealot's checkout defaults to paid same-day or next-day options, so choose a standard date for free delivery if you are not in a hurry. For ATP Fitness, a Cape Town brand, courier time to Gauteng is not published. For an event or a gym start date, order a week early.
